Deadpool #29 Review

Tagged with: DeadpoolDeadpool #29

The final battle of Deadpool and the Secret Avengers versus the always dangerous and deadly Dr. Bong (hahahahahahaha.) Today I will be reviewing Deadpool #29. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

So let’s talk about the book. So naturally Deadpool and company survive the explosion. After that, Deadpool figures out where Dr. Bong is hiding. Then he and the Secret Avengers go find him and, after a sweet battle, manage to whup his ass. Hilarity and sarcasm is scattered throughout. And that’s the book.

So let’s talk opinions. Now this one had it all. Sweet action. Lame super villain. Random acts of violence. Ridiculous stupidity and sarcasm coming out of Deadpool’s mouth. (Love his interaction with the Black Widow) Not to mention the excellent way the artists showed every facial expression. Spot on. (That and Widow’s rack) Now this is what all Deadpool books need to model themselves after. Nothing is taken too seriously. Deadpool is always in control. (And always a bit insane.) He never gives up and he’s trying to be a hero. (I still want him to go back to being an assassin for hire, but this hero thing is OK for now.) Now we need to get him a real nemesis. Dr. Bong was a joke. We need a character like T-Ray. To me, a hero is really defined by the villain he fights. The bigger and more dangerous the villain, the more popular the hero for defeating them. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.

I’m definitely going to pick this one up- glad to hear about his interaction with Black Widow being awesome.
