So let’s talk about the book. Bruce, using the aid of a hot scientist, tracks down Tyrannus and Pandora’s box. However, his main concern is Betty. He lets her know about her transformation issue, to which she immediately transforms into Red She-Hulk. Tyrannus prepares to open the urn, even after the scientist tells him that it can cause unknown, irreparable damage to the earth. That’s when all hell breaks loose. A bunch of guys calling themselves the Knights of Rome attack and steal Tyrannus, the scientist, and the Urn. With no other options left, Hulk and Red She-Hulk decide to team up. And that’s the book.
So let’s talk opinions. Now this is more like it. What an awesome cover. The rage and fury practically leaps off the page.Throughout the book, the art continues to impress. Big, beautiful panels with clear vivid images adorn every page. Rome looks amazing. (I’ve been there and the images actually brought back some fond memories) The fight scenes were well drawn and the females were very hot. Artistic perfection, at least for me. The story was pretty good. I loved the added humor that Amadeus Cho brings to the title. Banner’s straight man to Cho’s sarcasm is a perfect mix. The Bond references were a nice touch as well. Once again, I Wikipedia’d the Knight of Rome but couldn’t find anything about them. Seems that it’s obscure character month in the Hulk library. Overall, we had nice plot progression and character growth. It seems that Betty is not only accepting her situation but craving it. I like that progression from the damsel in distress that she used to be waaaaay back when. Also, it’s good to see Hulk lose a battle where strength or brains were not an option. It just came down to desire and that’s something the Hulk cannot fight. I do miss the heavy smashing action sequences but hopefully those will return soon. Other than that, a great read. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
