Deadpool #34Deadpool’s space adventure continues. Today I will be reviewing Deadpool #34. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
So let’s talk about the book. So Deadpool begins his planning on how to kill Id, the Selfish Moon. After a quick origin of Id, we get to the action. Using some tricking and conniving, Deadpool manages to enrage Id and is now fleeing for his life with Id hot on his tail. And that’s the book.
So let’s talk opinions. Now this is less like it. What was a great fact paced last issue has come to a grinding halt. Nothing happens this issue. We get a nice Id origin but we all know it was completely made up for this story. We get a nice bit of sarcasm but not any real laugh out loud moments. We get a corny Armageddon rip-off but no real plot movement. Deadpool just plays musical chairs with the inhabitants of a few different planets. I do know that there is some sort of plan that will be revealed next issue and I hope its worth it because to me, this was a skip issue. The art, at least was pretty decent. The cover was great, once again. Talk about having the world on your shoulders. Those space backgrounds are pretty cool too. Not to mention Id and Ego. The panels with them look really cool. Ego has always been well drawn. I also really enjoyed the expressions on the aliens when they arrived at the ice planet. That was priceless. I just hope next issue keeps the same great art but has a huge improvement on story. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
