Deadpool Corps #12One of the better drawn, funnier, and wackier Deadpool books comes to an end. Today I will be reviewing The Deadpool Corps #12. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.
So let’s talk about the book. Deadpool apologizes to the Broken Blade so she doesn’t blow up his ship, but she ends up leaving him. Then, in real time, the rest of the Deadpool Corps free Deadpool and they proceed to destroy the Omega Corporation. As they flee on their ship, the find out that the gold they stole was actually painted lead. Finally, the Guardians of the Universe disband the Corps for reasons of greed and return the individual Deadpools back to their respective universes. And that’s the book.
So let’s talk opinions. Sadly, this was the last issue to what was surprisingly a pretty good title. The art was amazing the entire run. This issue had some more awesome splash pages and battles. The story was weak once again, but it basically gave closure on all outstanding points and issues. It sort of reminded me of a DND game that runs too long so the DM just decides to jump in and end it his own way. It is kind of sad that Lady Deadpool is gone. I was beginning to enjoy her character which had the most growth over the life of the title. As always, the sarcasm and humor was present and will be sorely missed. I appreciate all of the Deadpool love but in a way I am thankful that its over. It was getting to be a bit expensive getting four titles a month. Now I have extra funds for the Fear Itself “event”. Hope its worth it. RIP Deadpool Corps. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
