So let’s talk about the book. So it turns out the Dark Beast is behind everything. He spouts out some scientific mumbo jumbo and changes some kids into lizard people who attack the X-Men. The X-Men fight them off and make it to the main chamber where they too are turned into lizards. And that’s the book.

So let’s talk opinions. I’m seriously not even reading anymore. I just look at the horrible art and make up my own story. I hate this story arc and this incredibly hideous art. There’s still absolutely no distinction between characters. Everything continues to blend into everything else in the panels. It’s hard to distinguish individual images at any time. Other than the cover, this book was painfully worthless. There was no suspense. The hunt to reach Dark Beast was pathetic. All of those lizards were swatted aside like flies. I never felt anything for anyone. Spider-Man fell short on witty humor this issue. Dark Beast’s endless prattling grated my nerves to no end as did the Lizard’s lizard speak. Add whiny kids and you have a total mess. And its still not over. There is more to come next issue. If I wasn’t a hard core X-Men fan, I would drop this title immediately. How can a book that started off so well with Curse of the Mutants arc drop so incredibly low? Art went to hell. Story became pointless and dull. Any drama and suspense has been thrown away. Character recognition is gone. Such a bloody shame. I pray to the Marvel gods that this crap ends soon and we can get back to something worth reading. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
