Irredeemable #24 Review

Tagged with: Boom Studios  Irredeemable  Mark WaidIrredeemable #24

Plutonian’s fight for freedom starts here. Today I will be reviewing Irredeemable #24. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

So let’s talk about the book. First, a brief recap of issue 23 which I didn’t get a chance to review. Plutonian finally wakes up to discover he is in an insane asylum in the heart of a sun. Meanwhile, on earth, Qubit finds out Survivor’s inner thoughts and joins Modeus. In this issue, Plutonian and Auroran, his new friend, begin their plan to escape the asylum. After the Plutonian decides he can trust Auroran, which he really shouldn’t, the two powerhouses begin their decent to the center of the planet and possible freedom. Meanwhile, Modeus and Qubit visit the Vespans and blackmail them into revealing the Plutonian’s location to them.  And that’s the book.

So let’s talk opinions. Now we begin the next chapter in the Plutonian’s story. Possible redemption. I have a feeling that the people of earth are going to need Tony’s raw power to stop whatever Survivor has planned. Qubit obviously feels that is the case or he would never join Modeus. I also like Qubit’s ruthlessness that was finally shown this issue. He’s too damn smart to be so compliant all of the time. I have no idea who Auroran is but he seems like a pretty cool character. I’m guessing the Plutonian and Auroran will eventually battle it out against each other. This issue marks the beginning of the pace picking up once again, I feel. It’s been kind of slow when the Plutonian was basically catatonic. Now that he’s awake, the violence, action and destruction factors are definitely revving up. The art was amazing as always. Those underground creatures were pretty awesome. Also, the facial renditions this issue were very descriptive and added a lot of emotion to the story. I can’t wait to see what happens next.  That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
